Millions of people with hearing loss<\/a> resist treating their condition, at least in part, because of the negative social stigma around hearing aids<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, \u201camong adults aged 70 and older with hearing loss who could benefit from hearing aids, fewer than one in three (30 percent) has ever used them<\/a>.
